(Newswire.net — March 1, 2021) Orlando, FL — It is undeniable that heart disease prevalence continues to soar nowadays. The good news is that more and more researchers are carrying out studies to look into the contributing factors of this condition.

A study was published in The Lancet: Global health, which is the leading international health journal.

It was carried out by SFU Health Sciences professor Scott Lear, along with his colleagues. Lear, holds the Pfizer/Heart & Stroke Foundation Chair in Cardiovascular Prevention Research at St. Paul’s Hospital.

He is the principal investigator of the Prospective Urban Rural Epidemiology (PURE) study site in Vancouver.

This study lasted for over 15 years in 25 countries and it involved collection of data from more than 225,000 participants in countries as diverse as Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Argentina, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, Malaysia, Canada and Sweden, to name a few.

It primarily focused on wealth as the major indicator for heart health prediction. However, the researchers soon realized that it couldn’t be useful as a standardized measure, but education levels could.

It is worth mentioning that the researchers assessed socioeconomic statistics through education and a household wealth index as the main determinants.

The researchers also stressed that while the amount of money appears to be a strong predictor of health outcomes, education seems to be a stronger measure to use across countries. It is worth mentioning that education is a modifiable factor and wealth is not.

The study’s findings revealed there was a stronger link between low education and wealth and heart disease risk.

More studies are still being carried out to explore more of the various aspects of heart health protection.

There are scientists who carried out interesting studies about the use of certain natural remedies for cardiovascular health. One of the most popular remedies is turmeric, which is popularized in the scientific community by the curcumin it contains.

According to researchers, curcumin has a remarkable ability to decrease plaque buildup, which triggers a wide range of heart conditions. It is worth noting plaque accumulation causes blood clot formation in the arteries of the heart, and triggers a stroke and a heart attack.

Scientists further found that curcumin aids in decreasing levels of bad cholesterol, which is a risk factor for heart disease.

Studies have demonstrated that turmeric extracts can decrease bad cholesterol levels in the arteries. Curcumin in particular can work wonders in preventing blood platelets from grouping together.

Another mechanisms curcumin exerts to benefit the heart is its anti-inflammatory effects. Previous research has demonstrated inflammation is linked with heart-related conditions.

In benefiting from the heart-health effects of curcumin, it may be best to consider the use of formulas like VitaBreeze Curcumin (https://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
