This year’s spring and summer camp schedule includes four new plays written especially for Moonlit Wing’s: Aladdin, Aloha Adventure Island, Wonderful Wizards & Witches and back by popular demand, Jamilton their original Broadway camp inspired by musicals like Hamilton, 1776 and others.
Moonlit Wings’ camps and classes are instructed by renowned DC and NYC entertainment professionals who provide ample opportunities for young performers to take the stage and show their talents. All sessions feature a brand-new script and events in the lead-up to the big finale. On the final day, all campers perform for friends and family and also celebrate at their private All-Star Cast Party.
The spring and summer camps are designed to allow children to explore acting activities with improvisation challenges, character creation, introduction to movie-making, behind-the-scenes tech, and more. Camps run one to two weeks in Northern Virginia, including various locations in Fairfax County and also available online.
The number of spots for all Moonlit Wings programs is limited to ensure each child receives quality attention and education. Moonlit Wings Productions strives to create a safe environment for children to express themselves, build character, and make friends.
In addition to spring and summer camps, Moonlit Wings offers in-person and online acting classes available year-round. Most acting camps are produced for ages 7-14, while teens ages 14-17 can register for their Teens Behind-the-Scenes program.
With this year’s spring and summer camp season announcement, Moonlit Wings continues to uphold its commitment to allowing children to discover a world of imagination with hands-on lessons and modern scripts inspired by popular children’s musicals and movies.
Moonlit Wings Productions was founded in 2008 by award-winning director, Walid Chaya. Over the years, the company has received numerous awards, including Washington Family Magazine’s Best for Families winning “Best Arts Program” and “Best Children’s Theater/Drama Instruction.” Moonlit Wings has also previously produced events in partnership with the Fairfax County Park Authority, a leader in community programs since 1950.
