(Newswire.net — June 2, 2021) Orlando, FL — More and more studies are being carried out to learn more about the prevalence as well as the impacts of diabetes. In the United States, it has been found that diabetes care has improved in the last decade.

This is according to a new report by researchers at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

According to report co-author Dr. K. M. Venkat Narayan, there has been kind of a mixed message in the last five to seven years.

Narayan is chief of the CDC’s Diabetes Epidemiology & Statistics Branch in the Division of Diabetes Translation.

“There have been good improvements in some areas, which tell us it is possible to improve things, but there is still a job that is left undone,” he adds.

The findings appear in the April 4 issue of the Annals of Internal Medicine.

In the United States, it is worth mentioning that there are 21 million individuals with diabetes. There are also around 41 million who are at a high risk of the condition.

The American Diabetes Association reveals that around 5 percent of all diabetics have the familial, type 1 form of diabetes. It is worth realizing that this is caused by a dysfunction in the cells that produce insulin.

Today, more and more experts strongly recommend resorting to measures that could help ward off diabetes. It has been scientifically proven that making some dietary and lifestyle improvements could aid in fighting this condition.

It is also worth realizing that in some studies, natural remedies like berberine have been found to work wonders in fighting the condition.

As a matter of fact in animal and clinical studies, it has been found berberine may effectively fight the complications of type 2 diabetes. These include kidney damage, obesity, and cognitive decline.

Scientists reveal that berberine stands out due to its ability to target the AMP-activated kinase (AMPK), which is considered to be an effector protein. It has been found to play a role in a wide range of utilization pathways as well as the production of energy.

In a 2006 study, it was found berberine aided in promoting the phosphorylation of AMPK. This in turn led to directly increasing the AMP-to-ATP ratio in the cell, and thereby stimulating glucose uptake.

Through this action, it can have a direct anti-hyperglycemic effect, which is highly essential for type 2 diabetes patients.

Today, it is worth realizing that the use of this remedy is linked with various medicinal purposes. It is even widely consumed via supplementation, such as the use of Divine Bounty Berberine (www.amazon.com/Berberine-Supplement-600mg-Per-Capsule/dp/B06XPCSTYM).
