Chicago, IL – Giggo is a new app that connects residents with local home business owners for laundry, cleaning, or beauty-related services. The app has no subscription fees.

Giggo, LLC announces its no-cost in-home service mobile app for residents in Chicago, Illinois. The app connects local contractors and professionals with residents looking for home services such as laundry, landscaping, mobile beauty, and home repair.

More details can be found on their Apple App Store landing page at Giggo for iOS.

The new app was built to make home services more convenient, especially during the current health crisis where people are told to limit social gatherings. With the new mobile app, residents have better access to local small- and medium-sized businesses, and can immediately connect with them. Giggo is also designed to support home service business owners and features no subscription fees.

Current market research has suggested that the pandemic has highlighted several gaps in the home service industry. The first is that current apps require a monthly subscription fee for both members and business owners. Secondly, local business owners do not get paid immediately as the funds are transferred through a third-party service provider. Lastly, most home service apps require businesses to pay and compete for the same leads.

Graeme Gates, the founder of Giggo, says that his app addresses all three challenges and offers a convenient solution for residents looking for home service and business owners wanting to find better leads. The recently released app enables local home businesses to speak directly to their clients, eliminating any lead-generating fees found in competitors.

Another essential feature of the app is that local business owners receive instant payouts, even on weekends and holidays. Gates explains that given the current health crisis, it is crucial that people have immediate cashflow, in case of emergencies.

As part of its launch, Giggo also released a 30-second explainer video on YouTube for prospective users who are still undecided about downloading it. The home service app automatically cancels requests if the service provider does not perform their service within two hours. This ensures that customers are provided service as soon as they order.

Gates says that he hopes to expand Giggo to be a nationwide service in the future.
