The upcoming single continues the trajectory of the young artist’s rising star. Only 15, Blaire was catapulted into musical fame a year ago after the release of her debut single, “Days Like These” which was inspired by the pandemic and the negative emotions it triggered in the artist. The song talks about the conflicting emotions that the crisis brought, including loneliness, despair, and love.
Her powerful yet sensitive voice has appealed to her critics, who claim her to be a name worth noting and looking out for. Already the artist has performed across the nation in various venues such as Six Flags, Allen Americans, and Nordstrom.
Though Blaire is relatively new to the music scene, she has had her share of the spotlight since she was a child. She was signed to Ford Models at the age of two and was the face of some of the world’s biggest brands, including H&M, Suave, and Disney, among others. She was recently named as “2021 Hottest Rising Star” by IT Girl Magazine in their January 2021 issue.
Blaire is also an accomplished entrepreneur, having recently launched her vegan skincare line. All her products are labeled with empowering messages such as “There Is No One Like You”, “Be Strong”, and “You’re Perfect”.
Still, Blaire says that her passion is in singing and writing songs. She understands that she is still developing her style and hopes that her cover of Hurt will be appreciated by her fans.
She chose the song specifically because of its various ambiguous meanings. While the overall meaning of the original version is still not fully understood, Hurt is recognized to describe difficult emotions – something that Blaire wants to express in her own musical style.
The cover will be released on Spotify.
