(Newswire.net — July 15, 2021) Orlando, FL — Today, more and more people are suffering from urinary tract infections (UTIs). It is important to keep in mind that while this type of infection is common, it is nonetheless preventable.

A study was carried out and published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, which is a JAMA Network publication.

The findings have shown that the use of cranberry-containing products seems to be linked with UTI prevention in some people.

Around the globe, there are around 150 million people who get a UTI diagnosis every year. Further, experts reveal that female adults are particularly susceptible to the infection.

This infection is often addressed through the use of medications like antibiotics, which work in killing bad bacteria that cause the infection. However, it is also important to realize that this medication causes side effects.

Experts are increasingly studying all-natural remedies like cranberries, which have long been resorted to as a folk remedy in preventing the infection.

There are many studies promoting its use for UTIs and one was carried out by Chih-Hung Wang, M.D., of National Taiwan University Hospital and National Taiwan University College of Medicine, and colleagues.

They identified 13 trials, which included 1,616 human subjects for qualitative analysis. It is worth noting that 10 of these trials included 1,494 people and in quantitative analysis. The study reveals that the random-effects pooled risk ratio for cranberry users vs. nonusers was 0.62.

According to the authors, cranberry-containing products tend to be more effective in women with recurrent UTIs, female populations, children, cranberry juice drinkers, and people using cranberry-containing products more than twice daily.

This meta-analysis has shown support for the fact that intake of cranberry-containing products may offer protection against UTIs in certain populations.

Over the years, research studies have been carried out to investigate the impacts of cranberries juice on the urinary tract deeper. In many studies, researchers highlight that its therapeutic sugar called D-mannose is behind its UTI-fighting benefits.

Scientists reveal D-mannose works in sticking to the bacteria that could cause the infection. By eliminating bacteria like E.coli, the odds of UTI reduce. It is obtained widely today through the use of formulas like Divine Bounty D-mannose.

There are many UTI sufferers who resort to the use of this supplement as a safer alternative to antibiotics. This supplement has been known to be highly potent and pure and even has dandelion and cranberry extracts.

It could be an excellent choice for individuals who want to increase their protection against UTIs. (www.amazon.com/D-Mannose-600mg-Cranberry-Dandelion-Extract/dp/B01LX5KGF0)
