( — November 9, 2021) Orlando, FL — Heart disease continues to happen to more and more people today. It affects individuals of any walks of life and age, including veterans.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention carried out a study on data involving 153,000 people who took part in the National Health Interview Survey.

Data was based on years 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, and involved vets between the ages of 35 and 70.

It has been found that the vets belonging to the above-mentioned age bracket reported more heart conditions than non-veterans, the data showed.

Ramon Hinojosa, who spearheaded the study, believes it may be the first indication of a coming public health crisis for veterans.

Hinojosa is an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Central Florida.

“Because of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, we have a relatively large, new younger generation of veterans who are going to survive for 30 or 40 years after their war experience,” he added.

The study was recently published in the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine.

There are multiple research studies about heart disease and how it can be prevented. Experts have long been stressing that this cardiovascular disease is preventable via making some dietary and lifestyle improvements.

It is also important to take into account the use of some medicinal plants like Rhodiola Rosea in battling this condition. This natural remedy has long been reputed to work wonders in battling a range of medical conditions, which include heart disease.

Studies reveal that it contains chemical therapeutic compounds like salidroside and rosavins that could combat various diseases.

Rhodiola has been found to have an effect on the blood levels of CRP and creatine kinase (CK). It is worth mentioning that the rise of both CRP and CK is linked with some degree of inflammatory muscle damage.

Its anti-inflammatory effects have been found to work wonders in protecting and enhancing heart health. This natural healing remedy has further been found to exert various mechanisms in delivering remarkable benefits to heart health.
