Researchers Warn Liver Damage Could Take a Grim Toll

(Newswire.net — November 23, 2021) Orlando, FL — Doctors have long been advising consumers to take the measures found helpful in protecting and enhancing liver health.

Since 2009, statistics reveal that a growing number of the U.S. population has died due to liver disease and liver cancer.

Dr. Elliot Tapper, an assistant professor of gastroenterology at the University of Michigan spearheaded a study.

In this research, it has been found that there was a troubling increase in mortality due to cirrhosis among 25- to 34-year-olds. It is important to be warned that this condition is caused by excessive drinking.

According to Dr. Tapper, these are deaths of despair. They speculate that due to the economic turndown in 2008, people comfort themselves through excessive alcohol consumption, which often offers relief from emotional pain.

It is worth realizing that while young individuals die due to alcohol-related cirrhosis, the older ones are dying due to conditions like liver cancer and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Dr. Raymond Chung is director of the Hepatology and Liver Center at Massachusetts General Hospital, in Boston, says that the increased deaths may stem from several factors.

These include complications of the hepatitis C epidemic, as well as the high frequency of fatty liver disease in the American population.

Dr. Chung is also on the governing board of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

In addition to avoiding excessive alcohol intake, it is wise to take the steps scientifically found helpful in protecting the liver.

Some natural remedies like resveratrol have been scientifically found to aid in boosting liver health. This phytochemical has also been shown to help in the treatment of alcoholic fatty liver disease in humans.

Scientists in the University of South Florida Sciences Center in Tampa carried out a study.

In this research, it has been found to treat liver diseases like fibrosis and cirrhosis. In a study involving mice, the use of resveratrol reduced fat buildup that could otherwise trigger liver damage, and eventually liver failure.

There are various studies demonstrating the remarkable healing benefits of resveratrol for liver health, repair, and protection.

One was published in the American Journal of Physiology-Gastrointestinal and Live Physiology.

The findings of this study revealed that resveratrol aided in curbing fat buildup and increasing the hormone that takes care of metabolizing fat. This means that it exerts two mechanisms in protecting the liver.

More research studies are still being carried out to explore more of the therapeutic goodness of this natural remedy. However, its use is highly recommended via supplementation like the use of Divine Bounty Resveratrol.

It is worth mentioning that this phytochemical has been scientifically found to possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. This means that using this formula could deliver this powerful disease-fighting and health-enhancing agents (http://amazon.com/Resveratrol-Supplement-Strength-Extract-capsules/dp/B019C0UU5S).
