(Newswire.net — April 18, 2022) Orlando, FL — Roughly 1.5 million people in the United States suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. It is worth keeping in mind that this condition can develop at any age, but it usually affects those between the ages of 20 and 60 years for women.

According to experts, this autoimmune disease causes inflammation inside and around the joints. It results in stiffness, swelling, and pain. This condition is different from osteoarthritis, which is the most common form of arthritis in the U.S.

Unlike osteoarthritis which often affects the weight-bearing joints like hips and knees, RA typically affects the small joints in the wrists, hands, and feet. Another essential difference is that this condition may produce occasional fevers, fatigue, and loss of energy.

Various research studies have looked into the different aspects of this condition. Some studies have even looked into the impacts of the medications used for RA.

A study was carried out and published in Arthritis & Rheumatology.

Previous studies have found pharmaceutical drugs utilized in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis may affect mental health by enhancing stiffness and pain. These medications have also been found to work by targeting inflammatory processes, which are common in depression and arthritis.

In this recent review of published studies, it has been found that reliance on rheumatoid arthritis therapies alone may not produce meaningful improvements in the mental health of sufferers.

This research suggests that it is best to provide mental health care as it is vital in helping arthritis patients with depression as well as other mental conditions.

“This review summarizes the findings from over 70 clinical trials to examine the association between different rheumatoid arthritis treatments and mental health outcomes,” said lead author Dr. Faith Matcham.

Matcham is from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience, King’s College London.

“Our findings suggest that otherwise effective pharmacotherapy alone is unlikely to have an impact on mental health outcomes for the majority of rheumatoid arthritis patients. Optimal mental health outcomes may be achieved through providing integrated psychological support alongside routine care.”

Researchers have been investigating arthritis and its remedies over the years. There are many arthritis sufferers who use medications combined with dietary and lifestyle improvements to manage their condition.

Medications like nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are beneficial but they are also linked with side effects. This is why today, there are many who resort to safer alternatives like VitaBreeze Glucosamine.

This amazing formula doesn’t just have glucosamine, but also added ingredients like MSM, chondroitin, and turmeric (https://amazon.com/Glucosamine-Chondroitin-Turmeric-Dietary-Supplement/dp/B00DUMO9X4).
