(Newswire.net — October 18, 2022) Orlando, FL — Multiple research studies in the past have demonstrated that sleep deprivation has various undesirable health effects. This is why experts strongly recommend resorting to some proven measures to improve sleep quality and quantity.

A study was carried out by the Michigan State University’s Sleep and Learning Lab and was published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.

Kimberly Fenn professor of psychology and director of the Sleep and Learning Lab., and co-authors Michelle Stepan, MSU doctoral candidate, and Erik Altmann, professor of psychology carried out the research.

This research involved 138 participants who were subjected to an overnight sleep assessment. It is further worth mentioning that 77 stayed awake all night and 61 went home to sleep.

In this study, the investigators found that deprivation of sleep has far more dangerous effects on health than previously thought.

This study is the first to assess the manner that sleep deprivation affects place keeping, which pertains to the ability to complete a series of steps without losing one’s place, despite potential interruptions.

“Our research showed that sleep deprivation doubles the odds of making place keeping errors and triples the number of lapses in attention, which is startling,” Fenn said.

“Sleep-deprived individuals need to exercise caution in absolutely everything that they do, and simply can’t trust that they won’t make costly errors. Oftentimes — like when behind the wheel of a car — these errors can have tragic consequences,” she adds.

Researchers aim at pointing out the relevance of acknowledging the significant effects of lack of sleep on the ability of people to perform their tasks.

Today, more and more studies are stressing the relevance of getting adequate sleep not just in performing functions but also in maintaining overall health. It is worth remembering that sleep deprivation has long been associated with the onset of various symptoms and diseases.

Experts are increasingly looking into some remedies that may be helpful for sleep. One is Rhodiola Rosea which is found by many studies to be highly therapeutic.

Rhodiola Rosea has long been used for various medicinal purposes. It is worth mentioning it has adaptogenic, anti-stress, cardioprotective, Monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) inhibitory, antioxidant, anticarcinogenic, Neuroendocrine, hepatoprotective, antiviral, and antibacterial properties.

Rhodiola doesn’t just aid in enhancing sleep, but also produces relaxation benefits. This means it has an edge over medications that produce drowsiness. Since it helps the body relax, it promotes sleep.

The use of this natural remedy is also associated with other healing effects. Today, it is widely consumed via supplementation, and one formula to consider is Divine Bounty Rhodiola Rosea (amazon.com/Rhodiola-Rosea-Supplement-Siberian-Salidroside/dp/B07416DYPB).
