It attracts many families and allows people to travel easily to lower Manhattan because it is located centrally. The area was once known as a business hub but later changed to a community as lofts and old buildings were transformed into living spaces where people could rent rooms and apartments. Celebrities like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift also call it home.

  2. Battery Park City – This neighbourhood is home to an older crowd of people. It is known by many as a great place to raise a family and is located along the bank of the Hudson river in Lower Manhattan. The neighbourhood became a popular choice once again following the displacements of residents for months after 9/11.

  3. DUMBO – Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass is located between the Brooklyn bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. It is easy to travel to Manhattan and Brooklyn from DUMBO and this is what has made it so popular.

  4. SoHo – This area is known as the trendiest neighbourhood in Manhattan and has many boutique stores and a vast array of restaurants. SoHo is rich in cultural amenities and thus housing is expensive.

  5. Brooklyn Heights – this area is situated off the Brooklyn Bridge and has a historic vibe. It is close to Manhattan and have over 600 pre-Civil War houses. It is known as a great neighbourhood for raising families.

Good housing in sought out areas are pricey in NYC however with co-living apartments available, people can live in good areas and enjoy all that it has to offer. You will only need to pay for your own room and many amenities are added in at no extra charge.
