Some bodyguards are required to work 24/7. They often work in teams where they do between 6- and 8-hour shifts. However, others have longer and irregular hours. A bodyguard should be ready to accommodate the clients’ needs at all times. If the client wants to travel to different countries, the bodyguard should be prepared to accommodate these needs.
Bodyguards have a serious commitment and their job can be dangerous. Whatever the job demands, the bodyguard should be ready and prepared. He/she should always be close to the client and not underestimate anyone. A bodyguard can get work through staffing agencies or schools. As a bodyguard, you can make $55,000 per year. Others sign contracts of $700 per day or amounting to $180,000 per year.
The pay is determined by the bodyguard’s experience, location, danger and job description. The job can be simple or deadly depending on the client. Being a bodyguard is not a job for everyone but if you want to do it, you need to be determined and relentless.
