(Newswire.net — June 19, 2021) –Rustic interior – what could be better and more on-trend? Achieving that beautiful rustic look in your home seems like a long task, but it needn’t be difficult. Let’s have a look at how you can get this gorgeous look in your own home.

In the modern age of technology, many of us lust after something a little more oldy, world, and wholesome. And a rustic interior is the perfect way to achieve this. So how exactly do you achieve it?

Wood!

No matter your taste and personal interior preference, you can’t deny that wood really complements any interior. With this thought in mind, your flooring is a good place to start and what better than solid wood flooring? If you’re wanting to play it safe, then a honey tones oak will give a soft and comforting appearance. However, if you’re really wanting to go for it then a whitewashed, distressed hand-scraped oak will work wonders for a rustic appearance and give your home that gorgeous rustic look. Once you have decided on your flooring, you can go on to choose colours for the rest of your rooms.

If you’re sold on wood, then you’re not just restricted to flooring. Go for wooden panels on walls, or even exposing the original beams if you have an older home – the converted barn style is perfect.

Lax colors

When it comes to the colour scheme, we’d keep it soft. These colours contrast beautifully with the wood floors you’ve chosen and will keep things pleasantly neutral, while still having that much needed character. You don’t have to stick to something plain either, lightly patterned wallpaper will work well and go with any room too. Calming colours means experimenting with the rest of your interior easier too.

Traditional fabrics

Nothing makes you feel more at home then filling your home with timeless warm fabric and this is especially important in a rustic style interior. Tartan is very popular, complementing distressed wood well without making the room feel too busy. Linen always works charmingly well with bed sheets and cushions. Cashmere, wool, velvet, throw a few of these in and see what happens.
