(Newswire.net — May 27, 2015) — Following accusations from his daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King, an autopsy has been performed on the legendary blues singer and guitarist BB King. The daughters claim that the famous blues singer was poisoned by his own staff, Russia Today reported.

According to the Clark County coroner’s office, an autopsy was performed on Sunday, but results could take up to eight weeks. Until then, the singer’s body has been returned to a Las Vegas mortuary.

King’s daughters, pointed at two of King’s long-time associates, accusing them for poisoning the singer, who died on May 14 at the age of 89.

According to the women, King’s business manager LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson prevented them from visiting their father in his final days, RT reported.

Reportedly, the daughters made the claims in separate affidavits filed over the weekend.

“I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances. I believe my father was murdered,” they said, according to documents submitted to AP by their lawyer, Larissa Drohobyczer.

“This is absolutely about money,” King’s attorney Eric Brent Bryson told CNN, adding the autopsy is exactly what the late singer wanted to avoid.

“He did not want invasive medical procedures,” Bryson said. “He made the decision to return home for hospice care instead of staying in a hospital. These unfounded allegations have caused Mr King to undergo an autopsy, which is exactly what he didn’t want.”

According to court documents, King’s manager Toney, who worked for King for 39 years, is named as an executor of his estate, allegedly on the singer’s will. The sum Tony has rights to is not fully disclosed, however, documents show it could be tens of millions of dollars. Tony also had power-of-attorney over the singer’s affairs.

Allegedly, Toney had added her family members to King’s payroll while blocking King’s friends and family from visiting the singer. Also, the petition claims that a large sum of money disappeared from King’s bank account.

According to Williams, the two daughters tried legally to take over the role of King’s guardian, however, a Las Vegas judge dismissed the case.
