(Newswire.net — October 13, 2016) —A student recorded a video which shows a teacher at Greenville High School, Mississippi, dragging a student by the hair, while student is on the floor.

This disturbing scene happened in the school gym.

The child that the teacher mistreated is said to be a child with special needs. The video shows another child laughing the whole way through.

A second video shows the teacher hitting the student in the head with an unidentified object.

Greenville High School Principal Xavier M. Hodo said that the Facebook videos are currently under investigation, and Greenville Police Department has confirmed that they are investigating the incident and refused to further comment.

The principal said that Greenville High School has high expectations of all its staff members, and anything that falls short of that is unacceptable.

The two videos were filmed at Greenville High School on Thursday, October 6, and were posted on Facebook by Kesha Williams, the same day. Kesha has three children at the school, and she explained that her daughter received the video from the student who recorded it Thursday via AirDrop. Her daughter then sent the video to her, and she made the decision to post it on social media.

She explained that she wants to warn other parents, and expects other parents to do the same for her, reports Mississippi Today.

Williams also said that her daughter didn’t go to school the day after the incident, due to personal problems, and added that due to the incident, she did not want to let her daughter go.

The child in the videos is Lekesha Redmon’s daughter, and her attorney told reporters it was too early to make a statement.

Mayor Errick D. Simmons said in a statement on Friday, that as a parent of a student who attends Greenville High, he is deeply concerned, like many of other parents.
