Pianist/Composer Lee Tomboulian is known for his creative forays into jazz, world music and his distinct interpretations of classical favorites. His Annual Old and New Friends Tour kicks off with a solo concert in Eureka, Arkansas and then heads to Denton, Tx for a concert with CIRCO and then to Dallas Tx in a duo setting with guitarist Tony Hakim. A “hilarious, virtuosic and inspiring” show featuring guitarist Tony Hakim and pianist Lee Tomboulian.
A solo concert provides the rare opportunity to hear a favorite musician up close and personal. This tour features Mr. Tomboulian, with his engaging pianistic personality, in a solo setting for his first appearance on this tour.
A Professor of Music serving on the faculty of Lawrence University Conservatory, Texas Wesleyan University, and North Central Texas College among others, with a Master of Music in Jazz Studies, Tomboulian thrives in artistically diverse climates.
His recordings as a composer/bandleader with Lee Tomboulian and CIRCO, heavily influenced by Brazilian rhythms, are fresh and energetically dynamic.
Known also for his accordion and composition skills, Tomboulian is featured with his band The Weekly Reeders, an unusual mix of accordion, vibes, bass and vocals. Cd’s can be found on CD Baby, iTunes and Amazon.

The Annual Old and New Friends Tour takes off in Eureka, Arkansas on August 18th, 2014 At Eureka House Concerts at 7pm with Tomboulian on solo piano.
After that Mr. Tomboulian will be featured at Dan’s Silverleaf in Denton, Texas. Appearing with Tomboulian are Joe Cripps and CIRCO. The evenings music has a theme called “A Tribute To Professor Mess Aroundski” in honor of a legendary fellow performer and magician.
Further touring with Old And New Friends features The Tony and Lee Show With Tony Hakim in Dallas, Texas, August 21, 22 and 23, 2014 at the Kitchen Cafe, Dallas, Tx. 8pm each night.
Tomboulian recently moved to the New York area, where he teaches and performs with a wide variety of artists, collaborating with dancers, choreographers, filmmakers and singers. His credits include stints with Eddie Harris, Jimmy Witherspoon, Benny Golson and many others.
