(Newswire.net — April 10, 2015) Scottsdale, Arizona — Spring brings with it three new mysteries from Scottsdale, Arizona mystery publisher Poisoned Pen Press. The April book title offerings showcase the return of a trio of popular women sleuths.

“We have always taken pride in our ability to bring new, monthly releases to our readers from the many talented writers we have been honored to discover,” said a spokesperson for the book publishing company, Poisoned Pen Press. “April is special for us as we get to unveil books featuring women in leading roles.”

The prolific police procedural books from author Steven F. Havill takes readers back to Posadas County where undersheriff Estelle Reyes Guzman becomes embroiled in a mystery involving her own family. The sudden and mysterious appearance of an uncle she never knew existed, along with mysterious happenings to other Posadas County residents, add to the complexity of the plot in this latest mystery entitled Blood Sweep: A Posadas County Mystery #20.

From Posadas County in New Mexico, the April new releases include a stop in England as the Reverend Callie Anson discovers that a theological college reunion will force her to face her past. Meanwhile, the head of the college has her own ghosts with which to contend while Callie’s police officer romantic interest, Mark, is hot on the trail of the killer of a London teenager. Author Kate Charles keeps readers on their toes in False Tongues: A Callie Anson Mystery #4.

Mystery author K.J. Larsen brings readers back to the U.S., to the city of Chicago to be precise, for another in the Cat DeLuca mystery series, Bye, Bye Love: A Cat DeLuca Mystery #4. As can only happen to private investigator Cat DeLuca, her jog through the park ends quite abruptly with her discovery of a corpse that just as abruptly disappears before the police arrive. The refusal of the police to believe that a murder might actually have occurred sends Cat in pursuit of the killer, but she does not know that the killer is now after her.

The novels and book series published by Poisoned Pen Press are all of the mystery genre. Their website offers a variety of mysteries from many different authors.
