(Newswire.net — April 5, 2018) Scottsdale, AZ — On Saturday, April 7, from 9:00 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. The Karas Group at Launch Real Estate will host its second annual community shred day. This free event will be held at the Chart House parking lot located in Scottsdale, Arizona, at 7255 East McCormick Parkway, east of Scottsdale Road.
“Identity thieves often gain access to personal and business information from improperly disposed mail or records, we want to help prevent that from happening to anyone,” according to Chris Karas, Realtor® with The Karas Group at Launch Real Estate. According to Javelin Strategy & Research, “$16 billion was stolen from 15.4 million U.S. consumers in 2016, compared with $15.3 billion and 13.1 million victims a year earlier.”
The Karas Group invites locals to bring up to three bags or boxes of documents each, to be destroyed on site while enjoying a Saturday morning community get together with complimentary refreshments and fresh donuts.
The Scottsdale Fire Department will also be making an appearance offering tours through a Scottsdale Fire Truck.
