Scientists Suggest Diabetes Medications Don’t Lower Inflammation

(Newswire.net — July 3, 2019) Orlando, FL — Conditions like diabetes are managed through the use of certain medications, in addition to following a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Experts have long been recommending that some diabetes treatments may be beneficial for the heart. However, it appears that in a study, this is not at all true.

A study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

In this research, it has been found that individuals with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes did not experience a reduction in inflammation linked with heart disease, but intake of glucose-lowering medications.

According to researchers, the medications aided in decreasing glucose levels. However, they did not have impacts on inflammatory markers any more than a placebo drug.

Dr. Aruna Pradhan, study author, says that heart disease is one of the many co-morbidities associated with diabetes.

Dr. Pradhan is an assistant professor at the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and a cardiologist at the VA Boston Medical Center.

“We thought by lowering glucose levels that we would also address inflammation. But, we found that going lower in glucose levels doesn’t impact inflammation, which is a risk factor for heart disease,” Dr. Pradhan added.

The American Diabetes Association warns that nearly 24 million people in the United States have diabetes.

Experts have long been warning against this condition as it is not just common, but is also incurable. When poorly managed, it could trigger various complications.

There are preventive measures against diabetes scientifically proven helpful, and they include making some healthy dietary and lifestyle changes. It is also important to consider that some toxins have been found to contribute to the onset of diabetes.

Toxins nowadays can be found pretty much everywhere, such as in food, air, and water. Experts suggest that toxins can increase the likelihood of diseases, which include diabetes and obesity. This is due to the fact that they produce inflammation as well as immune dysregulation.

It has further been found that toxins produce oxidative stress, disrupt mitochondrial function, and impair appetite regulation.

In a study in 2010 in Environmental Health Perspectives, it has been found that exposure to organic pollutants result in insulin resistance as well as metabolic dysfunction.

It is important to realize that avoiding exposure to these toxins totally may be impossible. The best thing people can do is detoxify their bodies to halt buildup of these toxins.

The use of activated charcoal may be helpful in detoxifying the body from these toxins. It is important to realize that this natural remedy has a highly porous surface that adsorbs toxins and get rid of them from the body.

To achieve the detoxifying effects of this natural ingredient, it is wise to consider the use of formulas like Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071NZ5G57http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071NZ5G57).
