The Link Between Joint Pain and the Weather

(Newswire.net — October 25, 2018) Orlando, FL — Today, millions of people are struggling with arthritis on a daily basis. Joint pain is one of its symptoms, and its attacks are often associated with environmental factors.

The Medicare insurance had a study analyzing insurance claims from over 1.5 million people in the United States who were ages 65 and older.

It was made with the daily rainfall data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

The scientists used the insurance claims to look into the number of doctor visits for joint or back pain. They compared the visits on rainy days versus non-rainy days.

They found that over 11 million visits overall for joint and back pain were the same on rainy and non-rainy days. Particularly, 6.35 percent of office visits were made on the rainy days.

The investigators further found that 6.39 percent of the nonrainy day visits includes joint and back pain.

They speculate that this may be due to the difficulties of patients to schedule their visit on the day they suffer from a pain flareup.

Anupam Jena says that no matter how they looked into the data, they couldn’t seem to see any correlation between the physician visits for pain in the back or joint and rainfall.

Jena is the lead author of the study and an associate professor of health care policy at Harvard Medical School.

This study was published in the medical journal called The BMJ.

There are two prevalent types of arthritis, namely osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The former is the most common type in the United States. Sufferers are left with no choice but to manage the condition, especially since it has no cure yet.

The good news is that some natural remedies are thought to be helpful against joint pain. This includes ashwagandha that is a popular Ayurvedic herb. It is popularized widely by its powerful adaptogenic, anti-stress, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and analgesic benefits.

All of these ingredients are thought to be helpful in soothing the nervous system from its pain response. The anti-arthritis activity of ashwagandha actually continues to amaze many researchers.

In some studies, ashwagandha has even found to be more effective than a pharmaceutical drug in controlling inflammation. This is particularly beneficial in individuals with arthritis. It has even been speculated to ease arthritis pain and swelling.

Divine Bounty Ashwagandha may be a helpful formula for those who want to experience this natural remedy’s anti-arthritis benefits. It is made carefully in an FDA-inspected facility in the United States (http://amazon.com/Organic-Ashwagandha-Capsules-Absorption-Ashwaganda/dp/B072KFLL6X).
