(Newswire.net — June 8, 2022) Orlando, FL — Years of research have shown that exercising regularly is extremely beneficial for various aspects of health. It has even been found particularly helpful in warding off diseases.

In a study, it has been found that regularly engaging in exercise activities could reduce the odds of hypertension. This reduction remains consistent even for individuals who dwell in highly polluted areas.

The findings of this research were published in the American Heart Association’s flagship journal called Circulation.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, more than 91 percent of people around the globe actually live in areas where air quality doesn’t meet its guidelines.

This means that the association between air pollution and physical activity is a significant public health concern.

Study author Xiang Qian Lao, Ph.D., said that extended outdoor activity in urban areas increases the intake of air pollutants, which can worsen the harmful health effects of air pollution.

Lao is an associate professor at the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in Shatin, Hong Kong.

“While we found that high physical activity combined with lower air pollution exposure was linked to lower risk of high blood pressure, physical activity continued to have a protective effect even when people were exposed to high pollution levels. The message is that physical activity, even in polluted air, is an important high blood pressure prevention strategy,” Lao added.

In this research, the investigators reviewed 140,000 non-hypertensive adults in Taiwan and followed them for an average of 5 years.

The results have particularly shown that those who were physically active and exposed to minimal levels of pollution had a reduced risk of developing hypertension.

More and more studies are still being carried out to look into the techniques potentially helpful in warding off the disease. It is always important to keep in mind that high blood pressure is a risk factor for heart disease, which is one of the world’s largest killers.

Researchers have been investigating into the impacts of consuming certain nutrients like B vitamins on blood pressure. In some studies, the use of B vitamins worked in battling hypertension.

B vitamins have long been a popular subject of research due to their strong disease-fighting benefits. They are widely consumed nowadays through supplementation, such as the use of Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex.

This extra-strength formula has Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
