Recently the company has experienced a large expansion in overall sales, expansion of our territory and added several new employees over the last year. In order to facilitate the continued growth and expansion of our company we are pleased to announce that we are promoting Doug Mead to General Manager for Carroll Seating Company (CSC).
Doug has been with CSC for eleven years. In that time, he has worked on several high profile projects, including the Jardine Apartments at Kansas State University, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology at Walter Reed Medical Center in Washington, DC, eighteen Fire Stations, numerous Police Stations and Lab Projects. His Architectural experience brings a diverse group of experiences and perspective to this new position for CSC.
Doug will be working directly with Mike Carroll, Tom Madura and PJ Carroll in taking on several new responsibilities. Doug’s responsibilities include personnel decisions, continued development of customer relations, overall business operations and facility management.
Doug will be handling the following Personnel Issues for the Kansas City Office including; personnel work schedules and conflicts, assist in hiring new employees, training staff on productivity and job improvement, Employee Reviews with Mike and Tom, reviewing all projects to make sure we are meeting milestones and coordinating our materials properly with the vendors, installers and customers, and review of territories for opportunities including working with Salesmen to balance and coordinate coverage.
He will focus on Customer Relations and will be working with Manufacturers to streamline the processes between CSC and them, handling conflict resolution between manufactures and/or GCs and Architects, arrange and manage “in office” visits from Vendors, Manufacturer’s, set up presentations, review architect’s specifications and make calls to the specifiers in order to make sure our products are approved, and set up and attend regional product shows to support CSC Sales staff.
Operations work will include; review projects for profitability, performance, and installer participation, report Mike and Tom on status of workload and issues, and coordinate CSC resources, including staff, installers, and suppliers.
This change occured on September 1, 2014. Doug will still be handling some of his key accounts while working with all of you to make Carroll Seating Company the BEST Midwestern Dealership.
