(Newswire.net — July 29, 2017) Woodbridge, Virginia — Winter is here, we might not feel it much South of the Wall, but a recent review from a mysterious customer confirms the use of emergency blankets for warmth, insulation, and defense. “I bought this Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket for use at work. I have a particularly unique job manning a wall up North. It gets extremely cold and it’s only getting colder as winter is coming. I thought this Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket might help me stay warm during my recent patrols North of the Wall.
Having the necessary insulation while patrolling, backpacking and hiking is key. You never know when weather conditions can suddenly change, leaving you bare to the whims of Mother Nature.
“I brought all 5 with me on my last trek, which was invaluable as Craster’s Keep provided little to no shelter against the harsh winter winds. I used one and let my boss John and new friend Gilly use a couple more.”
Although, sometimes, added insulation is not the only situation adventurers need to be prepared for. Mylar blankets allow the retention of 90% of the body’s heat, but what use is a blanket when faced with the army of the undead?
“Once morning came, I set off on my own. As I walked, out of nowhere a blizzard rolled in, so I took shelter behind a rock. There I watched as armed white walkers approached from out of the snow. All of sudden a white walker mounted on a dead horse gazed in my direction, but I immediately took refuge under my Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket. Luckily, the size of the Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket wholly covered me, although it couldn’t drown out the the screeches of the army of the dead.”
It is a well-known fact that White Walkers can only be killed with dragon glass and Valarian steel. Dragonglass is mined at Dragonstone, while Valarian steel is said to have been forged eons ago with spells and dragonsfire. Should you ever face a White Walker without these materials, you might soon be another cold pawn in the undead army.
“I was able to get away safely, but not before long I came face to face with a bone chilling white walker. I tried to halt its advance, but the walker shattered my sword with his frozen hand and knocked me aside. With nothing left to protect me from the undead, I cast my last of the five Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blankets over the walker’s frosted body. The walker howled in pain, as its whole body began to melt from the warmth provided by the Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket to the point at which it fell to what was left of its knees and its torso began to evaporate. I lifted the Emergency Mylar Thermal Space Blanket from the walker, but all that was left was a small pile of white dust which was quickly swept away by the cold winds.”
Sadly, the above exchange was only partly caught on camera, but luckily it is the first known example of an emergency blanket used effectively as a weapon against the undead. Although the evidence is not conclusive, it is heartwarming to know that there might be a way to not only survive the cold but also defeat a cold army.
Amanda Condry, owner of Surviveware commented on this review:”It’s good to hear that guards have the confidence to use our equipment while on duty. Our products are made with the adventurer in mind and I’m glad our blankets were able to keep this customer warm during the cold weather. I am also touched that our products are doing good in the world and yet, we are not doing enough… Hence forth our company will do more and more to support these men. If we don’t provide the supplies to help them, who will?”
