(Newswire.net — July 29, 2017) Mays Landing, NJ — The live music entertainment scene is turned all the way up at the Spray Beach Hotel on LBI. Local musicians perform everyday on the Spray Beach pavilion where the sandy dunes and breezy salt air creates a natural, al fresco sound stage. This Jersey Shore hotspot is booked all season with local artists like Problem Child 2, Tony Pileggi, Pat Karwan, and Gary Philips.
What makes the Spray Beach Hotel a great music entertainment venue is the location and the atmosphere. This hotel is tucked away in a quiet alcove just north of Beach Haven. Right on the oceanfront is Spray Beach Hotel’s parking lot and the main entrance is on 24th Street. Hotel guests and walk-ins can enjoy live music for hours after dinner, and occasional performances on a Sunday afternoon. The Spray Beach pavilion is shielded under a canopy, shielding guests from the heat of day or the occasional rain shower. Vacationers and local music fans stroll along the beach or take a seat on the pavilion as the music begins towards the end of each day. Even from underneath the canopy, it’s easy to enjoy a view of the clear skies.
Spray Beach Hotel has published their full live music schedule online. The Ocean County Artists Guild’s Tony Pileggi is a local celebrity known for his acoustic guitar playing and vocals in the style of Johnny Cash and Elvis. Pat Karwan, of the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation, is another seasoned artist, bringing exceptional talent to the stage. Gary Philips is known for a unique genre that he calls “Trop Rock” which is a combination of rock, southern rock, and country music, all spiced up with a tropical vibe. Other performers include Problem Child 2, Dylan, Steel Margarita, and Ted Paul. These LBI music artists are praised for their summery sounds that compliment the beautiful atmosphere at the beachfront pavilion.

The restaurant located inside of the Spray Beach Hotel is a destination in and of itself. This popular dining venue serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Long Beach Island is one of the best places in the Northeast for ordering seafood. There is a commercial fishing village operating on the northern end of the Island. The local seafood establishments, like Spray Beach Hotel Restaurant, are fortunate to get the first pick of fresh catches from Viking Village. Order a Whole Lobster Platter on Wednesdays, and Thursday is Prime Rib Night. Lobster Ravioli and the Seafood Delight are served all week long, and there are plenty of other options to order besides the fresh seafood.
The dining room dress code at Spray Beach Hotel is casual, so there’s no pressure to change your flip-flops and swim shorts. Still, most guests prefer to eat outside, especially when there is live music to enjoy during a meal. Outdoors, a new beach bar is furnished with barstools for additional seating. This is the place to order specialty cocktails and signature drinks. Mermaid Water, Blueberry Lemonade, Peach Gimlet, Honey Peach Fizz, and Pineapple Upside Down Cake are some of the adult drinks that you can order at the beach bar. Guests may prefer to take a drink and finger foods out by the pool so they can watch their children as they’re swimming. Wherever they’re seated, guests can hear the music and order from the menu at the Spray Beach Hotel Restaurant.
Besides live music entertainment and a great seafood restaurant, Spray Beach Hotel is known for their clean and affordable lodging accommodations. Guests can spend the night in an oceanfront suite with a Jacuzzi or an efficiency room with a kitchenette and dining space. There is a swimming pool and a hot tub and a multilevel deck for sunbathing. The best thing about sleeping over is that you can enjoy drinks and live music downstairs without having to drive home late at night. For rates and specials, see the Spray Beach Hotel website or call the front desk at (609) 492-1501. Starting in October, additional discounts are available for Spray Beach Hotel rooms. Ask about the Fishermen Special and special pricing for senior citizens.
A day the Jersey Shore just wouldn’t be complete without great food, good company, and live music on the beach. Check out the LBI Entertainment Guide for more information on the local music scene! The Spray Beach Hotel is a family friendly place to enjoy live music for free, but there are plenty of other music hotspots on LBI including bars and concert venues. Free concerts are held weekly at several of LBI’s public parks and the newly reopened Surflight Theatre is selling tickets for their Monday night concerts. Some of the local music venues have seating and bathrooms available to the public, but others do not. All of this information and more can be found on the LBI Entertainment Guide published by BestofLBI.buzz.
When you’re strolling through LBI this summer, listen up for the sounds of music on the beach! There’s no better time to make memories and kick back with your family. You might even have a dance with your toes in the sand. Soak in the happy summer vibes before the season winds down, and treat yourself to a weekend at Spray Beach Hotel with live music everyday!
