Judi Silvano, known primarily as a Jazz Singer/Composer, makes her debut as an emerging artist from the Wallkill River School of Art. This show, which runs throughout the month of May 2013, includes the artwork of Mary Mugule Sealfon and George Hayes both professional exhibitors. Ms. Silvano says, “I am thrilled to announce that I am part of an exhibition at (The Wallkill Shool of Art) with these fabulous artists. They have both been inspiring and encouraging me in my work over the past few years. I hope you might consider taking a drive up the beautiful Hudson River Valley to join us for the opening reception”.
Ms. Silvano’s paintings can be viewed on her music website, www.judisilvano.com, under the painings tab. Her work presents a personal view of familiar scenes, from meadows and natural settings, to more urban representations. Watercolors and pastels are generally soft on the eyes, and these are no exception. Warm, graceful with fine detail and sensuous color, these works are beautiful and universal.
Ms. Silvano has been active since her youth in music, dance, painting, ceramics, gardening and clothing design. These paintings reflect the movement of the dance, the precision of music, the earthiness of gardening and her love of flowers. Watercolor and Pastel originals and Giclee Prints and greeting cards are available for purchase as gifts and/or decor for the home. Ms. Silvano relfects that her artwork has been informed and inspired by her recently departed mother Miriam and she dedicates this show to her.
Opening reception starts at 5pm, wine and cheese will be served. Please call 845.457.2787 for a viewing appointment all through the month of May if you can’t attend the opening, but would like to see the paintings. Wallkill River Art School is on Route 17K in Montgomery, NY.
