(Newswire.net — September 20, 2021) Orlando, FL — Skin conditions like acne are a real problem to many. Acne has even been found to increase the odds of mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression.

According to experts, there are actually different types of acne and severity may differ from one person to another. It often includes a combination of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, and at times painful cysts. It is often the chest, face, and back that are often involved.

One of the main causes of this skin health issue is clogged pores, which are triggered by accumulated dead skin cells.

Experts have been found that depression and anxiety may actually worsen acne. Stress even has the ability to increase the production of oil in the skin, and this aggravates acne.

In some studies, it has been shown there is a link between the conditions. Depression is three times more common in those with acne, and women tend to be more affected by it. It is important to keep in mind that acne has further been linked with poor self-esteem.

While it happens to all age groups, it’s actually more common in women and those with severe acne.

A study was carried out and published in The British Journal of Dermatology.

It is worth noting that this analysis included data from The Health Improvement Network (THIN) (1986-2012), which is a large primary care database in the United Kingdom.

It has been found subjects with acne were at a significantly increased odds of developing major depression. However, such a risk was found to happen only in the first 5 years after being diagnosed with acne.

The researchers actually found that the risk for major depression was the highest, which was by 63 percent, within 1 year of acne diagnosis. After a year, the risk was also reduced.

Today, the scientific community continues to carry out studies investigating the various aspect of depression. It is also important to note that some remedies like proper nutrition may be helpful in maintaining brain health.

Intake of B vitamins may be particularly beneficial as these nutrients are found to aid in lessening stress and mental fatigue. Some experts even suggest these nutrients may ease symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Today, they are consumed widely for preventive purposes through the use of supplements like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (www.amazon.com/Vitamin-B-Complex-Packed-Vitamins-B12/dp/B07414752B).
