Rendezvous, the annual art festival hosted by the College of Arts, will return this August 5th. The all day festival will take place over three days and will be held in the mall area of the campus.

More than 3,000 student and faculty artists will present music, theater, dance, poetry, film, painting, sculpture, and more. The fest will bring together more than 150 visual and performing artists. Musical, dance, and theatrical groups from colleges across the country will participate in Rendezvous.

The first night of Rendezvous is a theater night, which is then followed by the visual arts night, and ends with a dance and music night involving not only students but also professional musicians from across the country.

“The closing ceremony have always been extravagant and the highlight of the 3 day fun-filled ride. Like every year, it will be held at the Open Air Theater of the campus and will feature live performances by popular national musicians,” says Matt Johnson, the head of the Organizing Committee. “Our headlining artist for the closing night is pop sensation Scott Tucker. With him making waves all across the country, the closing night of Rendezvous is something not to be missed out.”

The organizers are expecting a large number of visitors to Rendezvous, which was voted one of Columbia’s best art festivals by readers of the campus newspaper. It is also among the top 20 art festivals in the US.

Reservations for events taking place during the festival can be made via the Rendezvous website. Check the official Rendezvous website for more details about reservations and to see the full list of events.
