(Newswire.net — January 3, 2018) Orlando, FL — Today, many people are suffering from HPV. This condition is often treated through the use of certain pharmaceutical drugs. However, there are natural remedies thought to be useful for individuals who suffer from the condition.

Turmeric is believed to be an HPV-fighting medicinal spice. The Human Papillomavirus often does not produce symptoms and can go away quietly on its own. However, there are over 100 strains that actually trigger the development of cancer in the anus, penis or cervix.

According to statistics, about 50 percent of the sexually-active population suffers from HPV. There are certain types of HPV that cause genital warts. It is sexually-transmitted and can be contagious via genital skin contact and intercourse.

Turmeric, on the other hand, is a medicinal spice that is believed to offer a myriad of therapeutic benefits. This spice is native to India, and is often used in curry dishes. It contains a variety of healing properties and can be found in its phytochemical called curcumin.

Curcumin is thought to be the source of many of turmeric’s healing effects. Some of these healing agents are its antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral, antimicrobial, antibiotic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

There have been studies that found the link between the frequent intake of turmeric and lower rate of certain types of cancer. This includes cancer in the lungs, colon, prostate and breast.

In laboratory experiments, it was found that curcumin has the potential to inhibit the growth of transcription factors, which take care of regulating certain types of genes. These genes are responsible for tumor formation.

According to experts, switching off these transcription factors can shut down some cancer-causing genes. This could lead to the reduction of the risk of contracting diseases and disorders.

In laboratory tests, it was also revealed that curcumin has the potential to decrease HPV oncoprotein expression. It also aided in programmed cancer cell death. Researchers further suggest that curcumin could aid in the suppression of tumor-causing proteins.

Other laboratory studies test the effects of the antiviral and anti-tumor properties of curcumin in cervical cancer cells caused by HPV. It was found that this natural remedy has cytotoxic activity against HPV 16 and 18. These are two HPV strains that can cause cervical cancer.

Today, there are curcumin supplements available for individuals who want to fight HPV and other diseases. Since this spice is thought to offer a variety of healing benefits, it would be wise to incorporate it in one’s daily diet.
