When a Realty TV Opportunity Comes Knocking

(Newswire.net — May 6, 2014) — The Reality Television marketplace is still expanding, and targeted audiences can’t seem to get enough of the real estate series’ or renovation programs. The question most viewers that have already tuned out is how much longer will this trend last? Broadcasters and production companies are also asking – more so waiting for the end to present itself.

“It is a tough market to gauge with specialty programming nowadays.” says Mark from KontentHouse, a production studio and rental house in Toronto Ontario. “I’ve been involved with a handful of factual productions in the last ten years, and although I’ve definitely seen a shift in quality, the quantity is still overwhelming.”

He speaks the truth. Have you ever surfed a popular streaming website, and looked at the alphabetical catalogue? There are thousands of listings; shows that I was astonished made the small screen, but wasn’t surprised when they only made a single season’s run.

But the trending expansion on HGTV and other networks and stations that specialize in home renovations and realty has led the charge. They seem to be in endless demand, and even the smallest disciplines and specializations of those careers are being pedestaled for the cameras.

“It’s not a surprise that hundreds of shows have covered the Real Estate industry. Home-buying is a fast-paced process and there is an invigorating feeling that comes with the sale that can be experienced by not just the homeowner.” says Micheal from TNAIS.com, a broker from south-west Ontario.

It makes sense that current homeowners or future ones pay attention to the trends in this industry – buying a home is the biggest investment you will make. It’s also the reason why the personalities hosting the shows don’t turn down the opportunities. It’s a double win for them.
