(Newswire.net — May 30, 2013) Spokane, WA — As the mobile market place continues to heat up, one thing is evident; mobile apps and mobile websites are no longer optional and are now considered a must-have for any business that expects to complete online. In an interview with Dave Krygier, known as the Mobile Marketing Mechanic & Online Expert, Dave summed it up by saying, “Small businesses and organizations that do not embrace the world of mobile will find themselves quickly left behind, struggling to catch up if they do not act very quickly.”

The vast majority of small businesses and organizations have not yet embraced mobile technology and marketing. In the old days, say five or seven years ago, all a business needed was a website because most web searches and online commerce happened on a computer using a standard browser. All that has changed quickly, with the astounding rate of phone usage, mainly with mobile apps or mobile websites.

The main problem lies with technology. Mobile phones act and function quite differently than websites. The user can expand their view by pinching and dragging or swipe and tap their way through well-designed mobile applications. A common, older website not optimized for mobile devices simply does not function correctly and may cause eye fatigue, as the sites don’t render well on smaller mobile phones and mini-tablets.

Mobile Apps Are Here to Stay

Most people are busier than ever and utilize their mobile devices to live and manage their lives, versus just talking on the phone and sending the occasional text message. These devices have become apart of people’s every day lives from sun up to sun down. In most cases, the phone uses mobile applications, also known as “mobile apps” that have infiltrated everyday life. Businesses and organizations now must fight for valuable space on mobile devices, as well as their standard website or online presence.

And this trend is only growing larger, making mobile apps or mobile websites a necessity. Apple just announced that it reached the 50 billionth download, which is up 10 billion downloads since January. “There is a mobile app for just about everything,” Krygier stated. “It seems that you can find just about every kind of app imaginable, yet the marketplace continues to grow as consumers and businesses embrace everything mobile.”

Now more than ever, it is imperative that businesses create a mobile presence. Whether it is using a mobile app or a mobile website, one thing is certain; any business looking to compete online must have a mobile solution.
