(Newswire.net — October 1, 2013) Washington, DC — District Nightclub, located in the Adams Morgan region of Washington, DC, was the exclusive host for the official after party for the Electric Run 5k race thrown all around the United States. Electric Run takes place in major cities from the West Coast to the East Coast and each location is set up differently, with DJ’s playing Electronic Dance Music throughout the entire race. The Washington, DC race was held on September 6th & 7th and the official after party was held on the 7th.
Participants ran through a 5k course of 5-7 different lands and features, which included laser lit tunnels, LED lighting throughout the entire course, glowing columns and arches, along with other psychedelic, mind-blowing features throughout the various courses. Anyone who entered the 5K was invited to come as individuals or could get a discounted rate for having groups of four or more. This event is similar to the music festivals thrown throughout the United States such as Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest, and all the other festivals where people are encouraged to wear bright clothing, LED enhanced clothing and as much GLOW as possible. The event coordinators gave each participant a glowing necklace, glowing sunglasses, and an LED bracelet, yet encouraged people to wear as little or much as they wanted. This was an all-ages event, and they promote healthy living practices with no tolerance for drugs.
District Nightclub had been chosen to host the official after party, where participants from Electric Run were invited to come and enjoy the rest of the night and continue to party in style. District Nightclub, under new management and ownership, by Ari Wilder and Dino Tapper, had chosen to open its doors for this one night only as the official after party host. The Electronic Dance Music continued at District Nightclub and the tunes were provided by DJ Phresh. Hookah smokers were able to enjoy Hookah on the outside patio and music was played throughout the entire venue, as well.
Anyone that attended the official after party at District Nightclub in Adams Morgan was in for a real treat. District is a very large venue and the sound system made everyone move with the Beats Per Minute. Alcohol was provided for those 21 and up, and District Nightclub served alcoholic beverages until 3AM, with music going until 4AM. Those that attended and came with an appetite from excessive dancing and running were able to check out the food amenities Federal Restaurant & Lounge, directly next to District, which offered until 1AM; including specialty cocktails created by DC’s best mixologist, Ari Wilder.
District Nightclub was open for the official Electric Run after party only, September 7th 2013, after which, they shut their doors for renovations and plan on reopening in October. Federal Restaurant & Lounge is open seven days a week and was previously voted best new restaurant in Adams Morgan 2013 by an internet survey targeting locals around the Adams Morgan area of Washington, DC.
