Spooky decorations come out and kids of all ages get to dress up as their favorite character or monster, go out into their neighborhoods, and collect as much candy as they possibly can. Dr. Scott Brody and his friendly staff at Castle Rock Family Dental are offering a healthy alternative to Castle Rock area parents and their children.
Rather than eating all of that candy, Castle Rock Family Dental will be hosting a Halloween candy buy back event that offers the opportunity to trade candy for cash. For every one pound of trick or treat candy children bring in, they will receive one dollar in return. In addition, while supplies last, they will also be giving away a special glow in the dark toothbrush to each child. Dr. Brody doesn’t want kids to give up all of their candy to this program. He understands that most of the fun of this time of year for kids comes from collecting and indulging in their favorite sweets. Because of that, he understands kids should be able to enjoy their candy; so he encourages anyone wanting to participate to pick their favorites and bring in the rest to his office to be weighed and donated.
All of the candy Dr. Brody and his staff collect will be donated to the men and women in the armed services. The holidays can be a tough time of year for people that are deployed. With this program, Castle Rock Family Dental hopes to brighten their days and make them feel they’re a part of the holiday spirit by donating every piece of candy they collect.
If you and your children are interested in participating, the buyback program starts Saturday, November second from 2:00 to 4:00 and continues from 9:00 to 5:00 Tuesday the 5th, Wednesday the 6th and ends on Thursday the 7th. There, the candy will be weighed and awards for each child’s generosity will be handed out.
