(Newswire.net — March 21, 2014 Dewitt, MI — DeWitt, MI – Twistars USA Gymnastics Club announces “Twistars Recreational Summer Gymnastics Camp” for kids. This summer camp is ideal for all kids, ages 3-10 years old who live in, or near, the Greater Lansing Area, or are visiting the area for a day, a week or the entire summer.
The summer camp is offered on a daily or weekly basis with half-day and full-day options. There is also a “last minute” drop-in option. Summer Camp runs from June 16 through Aug 29, 2014 (excluding the week of July 4th) at Twistars Gymnastics in Dewitt, MI.
Kids will discover a wide variety of activities throughout each day including:
- Gymnastics Instruction based on the individual ability of the child. This is a locomotor skill development program that is great for every child.
- Arts and Crafts including jewelry making, creative design drawing, collages, group projects and more.
- Rock Climbing Wall on an age appropriate, physically challenging traverse rock wall.
- Story Time, reading aloud, role-playing, story comprehension worksheets and games.
- Play Zone Time which includes discovery and play time in the activity center that includes tunnels, slides, and a ball pit.
- Games, Relays, and Contests created with problem solving, teamwork and sportsmanship in mind.
- Healthy Snack provided for both AM and PM sessions.
- An energetic, fun filled, positive, safety first environment where learning is a priority.

Camp Themes: New this year, the summer camp features weekly “Camp Themes” with special guests and theme based activities. Camp Themes for 2014 are (in weekly order): Pretty Princess, Super Fort Building, Summer Vacations, Cheerleading, Martial Arts & Super Heroes, My Dolly and Me, Animal Adventures, Meet a Gymnast Week, Safety is Fun, and Back to School Week.
