(Newswire.net — November 3, 2014) Langley, BC — Whether you have 60 minutes or 60 seconds, there are a variety of ways to improve your marketing efforts on social media. Here’s the first of two articles that will help you leverage social media with a great list of ideas to help you boost your presence online and bring attention to your business. When you’ve only got a few minutes- or just 1!- these tips will help you make the most out of the time you have to spend on marketing efforts.
In Part 1 of this two- part series, we examine quick and easy ways that you can use Facebook and Twitter to boost your marketing efforts in minutes.
- If you have one, link your Instagram account so that followers can see photos you share, even if they don’t have the photo- sharing app.
- A great way to drive traffic to your website is to share links to articles, news, events, and other content on different landing pages of your site. Select links based on where you want to gain attention
- If you want to try and reach a larger audience, pay to ‘boost’ posts or invest in ads to help drive traffic to your Facebook page or website.
- Share content produced in- house (ie for a school or college, share articles written by students and instructors).
- Share articles and information from other sources your followers may be interested in.
- Update events so followers know when they are- this is a great feature for anyone who doesn’t visit your website on a regular basis
- Share info from newsletters and other approved in- house documents that may be interesting to followers (ie for a school or college, including recent sports’ teams stats, etc).
- Create a contest to encourage followers to “like, comment & share” the content on your page (this will help you reach a wider audience and increase engagement)- then pick a random winner and announce them.
- Retweet content from others within the organization that represent it in a positive manner. Include a hashtag to help make related content easy to find (ie #myschoolhashtag)
- Request a leading member of the organization to participate in a Q&A 9again using a hashtag to make the conversation trackable).
- Keep your hashtags the same across all social media, including Facebook, and Instagram to make it easy for others to share and find content realted to a specific event, etc.
- Invite a guest to Tweet during a special event for in- the- moment updates
In Part 2 of this series we examine how you can use Pinterest, Instagram, and Youtube to help maximize your marketing impact without investing hours of time. Check back soon!
