(Newswire.net — January 13, 2015) Las Vegas, NV  — Little dog Bella was surrendered to A Home 4 Spot by the homeless. She needs heart surgery, so Chastity Lynn of Las Vegas has started a crowfunding campaign with GoFundMe.com to raise the money.

When she was brought in she could only lift her head but she still had good spirits and just looked up the whole way to the vet.

She was diagnosed with parvovirus and a severe heart murmur. She has overcome Parvovirus and has been on beta blockers but now at 8 months old and at almost 7lbs is finally big enough for her heart surgery.

She needs valvuloplasty which involves putting a catheter up through the vein in her leg into her heart and a balloon will be put in place of the valve that is not working. Without the surgery the muscle in the bottom part of her heart will get too big because of overuse and will eventually block the bloodflow and she will most likely die.

A Home 4 Spot volunteer and Las Vegas resident Chastity Lynn has taken Bella in and created a crowdfunding campaign to generate the necessary funds to save Bella’s life.

To date, the campaign has raised over $1,440 towards the estimated $4,700 price tag. People interested in donating to the campaign may do so at the GoFundMe.com website here:  http://www.gofundme.com/jcjsnc

Chastity has reached out to her social network on Facebook as well as other friends with what looks like a strong support group for which she is thankful and states:  “I love this little girl so much and would so greatly appreciate any help you can give. No amout is to small. Every dollar helps. Thank you all!!”

With the advent of crowdfunding and more crowdfunding platforms appearing, more and more people are turning to this new source of funds for increasingly creative ways.
