(Newswire.net — September 23, 2019) Orlando, FL — Today, it is hard to deny that more and more people are struggling from liver health conditions. The good news is that some beverages have been found helpful in fighting these diseases.

In the United States, it has been found that cirrhosis is the leading cause of death. This chronic liver condition ranks as the 12 leading cause of death in the country. Every year, nearly 32,000 people die from it.

The Journal of hepatology published a new research. It has revealed that coffee and tea could be a great addition to preventive measures against liver conditions.

Some other preventive factors are maintaining healthy, active lifestyle and avoiding alcohol consumption. By not being sedentary, people would be in a reduced risk of obesity, which is a contributing factor for a fatty liver.

Study was led by Sarwa Darwish Murad, Ph.D., a hepatologist at the Erasmus MC University Medical Center in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

It is worth mentioning that cirrhosis is often the reason behind many liver-related deaths. While long-term alcohol consumption accounts of a large number of cirrhosis cases, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) may also result in cirrhosis.

This study involved 2,424 participants coming from the Rotterdam Study. It was found that frequent consumption of coffee and herbal tea led to consistent correlation with a significantly reduced risk of liver stiffness.

Liver stiffness is a high measurement in times when the liver is scarred. Liver scarring is also called progressive fibrosis, and when not treated can ultimately result in cirrhosis.

Scientists further found that the benefits of coffee on liver stiffness were observed not just in the participants with fatty liver, but also those who did not have the condition.

This may suggest that frequent intake of tea and coffee may potentially prevent liver fibrosis long before the liver disease symptoms start appearing.

More studies are still underway to validate the effects of these beverages on liver health. Experts always recommend people should take the necessary measures just to improve liver protection and well-being.

In addition to coffee and tea, there are also natural remedies believed to be helpful for the liver. One is milk thistle, which is an all-natural remedy being widely studied by researchers and clinicians.

Milk thistle is popularized by its protective benefits on liver health. There are many who turn to the use of Divine Bounty Milk Thistle to experience the healing goodness of this natural remedy.
