(Newswire.net — September 3, 2020) Orlando, FL — There are many diseases and disorders nowadays that do not just make people struggle, but also reduce their overall quality of life. It is important to realize that experts have long been stressing the importance of making some lifestyle changes to stay healthy.

In a British study, it has been particularly found that consumption of vegetables, moderate drinking, exercising, and not smoking could add up to some 14 years of extra life.

This research was carried out by the researchers at the College London and Canada’s McGill University.

The study was published in the journal PLoS Medicine.

The investigators looked into 20,000 men and women who belonged to the 45 to 79 years age bracket. They were made to fill out a questionnaire about the four health behaviors, namely not smoking, exercising, moderate drinking, and eating veggies.

The participants with zero points were found to be more likely to have died within an average period of 11 years.

It is important to realize that today, there are quite a number of unhealthy foods that are consumed by millions of people. They are widely available and have been scientifically found to trigger a range of diseases.

There are scientists who have been carrying out studies to learn more about the ways to improve longevity. It is worth noting that some natural remedies like curcumin may be potentially helpful.

More particularly, curcumin has been able to demonstrate its ability to extend the life of several species.

According to Li-Rong Shen and his associates, the prospect that pharmaceutical and nutraceutical interventions may delay aging and age-related diseases is shared by many researchers.

The investigators are from the Jean Mayer-USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University.

Curcumin is a phytochemical that can be found in an Ayurvedic spice called turmeric. This spice has been used for thousands of years for various medicinal purposes. Curcumin, on the other hand, is widely studied by the scientific community due to its healing potentials.

It has genoprotective, antifungal, adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, renoprotective, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, antifibrotic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains anticoagulant, antiseptic, anti-platelet, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, anti-purulent, immunomodulating, and anticatabolic agents.

In the study, researchers found curcumin modulated putative biological processes of ageing. It also exerted varying mechanisms that show promise in its ability to enhance health and inhibit the development of age-related chronic diseases.

It is also worth noting that curcumin has also been found helpful in preventing the onset of various diseases that are highly prevalent today.

One of the supplements reputed to be an excellent source of this natural remedy is Divine Bounty Curcumin (https://amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-BioPerine-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00VSVKJ8I).
