(Newswire.net — September 2, 2020) Orlando, FL — Pharmaceutical drugs are often used by individuals who suffer from hypertension. However, new studies have found that minerals like magnesium could work wonders in helping fight the condition.

In some studies, magnesium has been found to work in reducing blood pressure. The researchers carried out a study involving intake of 450 mg of magnesium per day.

It was found that the use of this macromineral led to a significant reduction in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Multiple previous studies have shown that magnesium is highly therapeutic. It has long been found to be extremely beneficial for a wide range of medicinal purposes. Its deficiency is even something many health experts warn against due to the undesirable health consequences it causes.

Scientists say that magnesium aids in reducing blood pressure when it is elevated. It is one of the best ways to keep blood pressure under control.

Studies have shown that intake of magnesium supplements may significantly aid in keeping blood pressure under control.

A study was published in the Hypertension journal.

In this research, it has been found that intake of magnesium supplements for three months led to a reduction in blood pressure levels.

According to Dr. Yiqing Song, lead author, with its relative safety and low cost, magnesium supplements could be considered as an option for lowering blood pressure in high-risk persons or hypertension patients.

Song is an associate professor of epidemiology at Indiana University.

In a meta-analysis, investigators looked into 34 studies involving over 2,000 patients. These involved randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials

It also involved a dose of between 240 and 960 milligrams of magnesium each day during their studies.

Scientists reveal that intake of 368 mg of magnesium daily for three months led to the reduction of systolic blood pressure by an average of 2 millimeters of mercury (mm Hg). What made the treatment even more beneficial is that it also reduced diastolic blood pressure by an average of 1.8 mm Hg.

The investigators suggest that magnesium has anti-hypertensive effects.

This macromineral can be obtained through consuming certain types of food, but there are also supplements available.

Divine Bounty Magnesium Citrate is one of these supplements and it has been found to be useful in delivering the therapeutic goodness of this macromineral.

This formula is equipped with an added ingredient called citric acid, which enhances the absorption of magnesium inside the body.

Aside from its high potency, this extra-strength formula is made even more popular by the money back guarantee it comes with (https://www.amazon.com/Divine-Bounty-Magnesium-Citrate-Supplement/dp/B01LYWPNY6).
