Omega-3s Could Be a Helpful Solution Against Depression

( — September 18, 2020) Orlando, FL — The pharmaceutical industry has made it possible for depression sufferers to find temporary solutions for their condition. While medications are useful, there are also natural remedies available, such as fish oil.

Omega-3s could be a helpful solution against depression. These healthy fats are believed to be essential for the health and proper functioning of the human body. They are also used in animals for various medicinal purposes.

Omega-3 fats are thought to be good fats that consumers should incorporate into their diet. Unfortunately in the United States alone, omega-3 fats are quite low in the diet of consumers.

“According to some studies, omega-3 fats have the potential to smooth out mood swings caused by bipolar disorder,” said VitaBreeze Supplements spokesperson, Michelle O’Sullivan.

In 1998, a report in the Journal of Affective Disorders revealed that there have been significantly low levels of omega-3 fatty acids in the red blood cell membranes of individuals with depression.

In May 1999 Archives of General Psychiatry, it was reported that 64 percent of individuals who consumed 10 grams of fish oil on a daily basis experienced a remarkable improvement in their symptoms.

The report was made by Andrew Stoll, MD, and his colleagues. The study participants, on the other hand, took fish oil for four months. In the placebo group, only 19 percent experienced some improvements.

According to Joseph Hibbeln, MD, a psychiatrist at the National Institute of Health, omega-3s could explain why the depression rates in the United States continue to rise.

In many countries with high average of fish consumption, lower rates of depression have been observed.

Researchers reveal that the cell membranes are partly made of omega-3s. It is believed that increasing levels of omega-3 fats could make it easier for serotonin to pass through the cell membranes.

Serotonin is the chemical that transmit messages from one brain cell to the next. However, it is important to remember that more research is needed to determine what mechanisms are actually involved.

The researchers nonetheless added that omega-3s do have an effect on membranes, and increasing intake of it could directly affect serotonin levels.

While there are medications available, it could be helpful to use natural remedies such as fish oil. There are pharmaceutical drugs but they cause side effects, which many people are trying to avoid.

It could be quite helpful to use fish oil supplements to address certain health problems. Since it is one of the essential fats needed by the body, it could be wise to increase intake of this nutrient.

Some of the best sources of omega-3 fats are tuna, sardines, herring, and halibut. Consumers may also take fish oil supplements, which normally contain high levels of omega-3 fatty acids.

Taking fish oil, such as the one offered by Vita Breeze, is one of the best ways to increase omega-3 fats in the body. It is easy to administer anytime and anywhere.

There are also fish oil supplements that contain very little amounts of environmental pollutants, which are abundantly found in some commercially-available fish. It is worth remembering that toxins such as heavy metals and other environmental pollutants are harmful to human health.

Such a type of fish oil supplement undergoes a process called molecular distillation. This process works by reducing or eliminating toxins from fish oil.

Another amazing thing about using Vita Breeze fish oil is that every capsule normally contains high levels of omega-3 fatty acids. This means that consumers would be able to take sufficient amounts of omega-3s in a capsule (
