Las Vegas Recovery Center Welcomes New Medical Director

(Newswire.net — March 22, 2018) Las Vegas, NV — The Las Vegas Recovery Center (LVRC) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Harry Duran, MD, MPH, PhD as LVRC’s Medical Director.

“Dr. Duran brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will contribute greatly to our mission to provide clinical excellence and treatment for those suffering from chronic pain and substance use disorders,” said LVRC CEO, George Gatski.

Formerly Dr. Duran served as the site medical director for NaphCare’s clinical services in Las Vegas, NV and was the County Health Officer for Elko County, NV. His expertise also includes correctional medicine, HIV care, public health surveillance, disease investigations, and biostatistics.

Dr. Duran earned his MD from Brown University Medical School and is board-certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine and in the Addiction Medicine sub-specialty of the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He also holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the Ohio State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center.
