The Earth is an important aspect of life. Sometimes it can be easily forgotten within the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our planet’s health is beneficial to everyone’s well-being and it is important to keep it healthy. “Going Green” or recycling is a great way to keep the Earth in tip-top shape. There are several ways that one could help make our planet a better place by going green. One way is to consider donating unwanted vehicles to non-profit organizations.

Car donations benefit the environment in many ways. Cars that are no longer running can be fixed to be resold by replacing broken parts, or the parts could be used as replacement parts for other cars. Instead of wasting these parts, they are being put to use for other cars. Parts from not functioning cars may also be recycled by using the steel for other things like aluminum cans, appliances, furniture or tools. Older cars that are not running smoothly could be releasing hazardous chemicals into the environment. Donating them would get them off of the streets and no longer polluting the environment.

Rawhide is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization located in Wisconsin that helps change the lives of at risk youth and their families. Rawhide’s mission is to provide lifetime support to troubled youth, and any donation made to Rawhide helps fund this cause. The vehicle donation program at Rawhide has been accepting car donations for 30 years and accepts any type of vehicle donation, running or non-running. This includes donations of other vehicles like motorcycles, boats, snow mobiles and campers. Rawhide makes donating a car simple because they allow cars to be dropped off at a local site or picked up right at home, work or other locations. There are over three hundred drop-off sites across the state of Wisconsin where cars can be dropped off when ready. Donations are accepted nationwide.
