Recent Study Suggests Sunlight Is Beneficial for Blood Pressure

(Newswire.net — July 15, 2022) Las Vegas, NV — In multiple research studies, sunlight exposure has been linked with various health benefits, such as bone health. However, interestingly, it appears that it offers more than just taking care of the bones.

A new study carried out by a team of British Researchers has shown that sunlight may reduce blood pressure levels.

According to researchers, the nitric oxide stored in the skin’s top layers reacts to sunlight. This widens the blood vessels as oxide moves into the bloodstream, and in turn, decreases blood pressure.

According to lead researcher Martin Feelisch, this is an unexpected finding, in that the skin has not been considered to be involved in blood pressure regulation.

Feelisch is a professor of experimental medicine and integrative biology at the University of Southampton.

The investigators further reveal that among individuals with normal blood pressure, the ultraviolet light effects are modest. There was a drop between 2 and 5 millimeters of mercury (mmHg).

“This is a mild effect,” he said. “But if you repeat this study in people with high blood pressure, I would predict you will see a more substantial drop.”

The report was published on Jan. 20 in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

More studies are still being carried out to explore more of the best ways to fight hypertension. It is worth realizing that such a condition is preventable via healthy dietary and lifestyle practices.

Some studies have shown that certain natural remedies like curcumin could work wonders in regulating healthy blood pressure levels.

It is important to realize that curcumin has been known to have a potent anti-inflammatory, and it helps lower blood cholesterol. It even has anti-clotting properties and aids in keeping blood vessels healthy.

According to experts, this is due to its ability to protect cells from damage, thereby allowing a smoother flow of blood.

What makes curcumin even more beneficial is that it has been able to demonstrate its ability to dilate arteries. It may inhibit the transport of calcium, and this dilates the arteries. It is important to remember that calcium acts as a chemical messenger that signals muscle cells to contract.

Scientists have long been investigating into the extent of curcumin’s healing powers, especially in warding off blood pressure. Its use is actually linked with a myriad of health benefits and today is widely consumed via supplementation.

Formulas like Incredipure Curcumin could work wonders in delivering the therapeutic goodness of this natural remedy (https://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Supplement-BioPerine-Capsule/dp/B0166KAW8M).
